Recommended Products

Since you guys loved the blog post I made about product recommendations, I decided to create a page for it. These are must have products, I personally own all of these and would highly endorse these to everyone.
Xbox One: I already did a product recommendation for this, but it is a must have for any gamer. You can find the full article here. http://kavalreviews.blogspot.com/2015/06/product-recommendation.html
Xbox 360: I know I just recommended the newer console, but a classic is always a favorite. This console came out in November of 2005, almost 10 years ago. When it first came out it had problems, it was slow, noisy, and had the red ring of death. Many of the original Xbox 360's didn’t make it past a year, but the newer models, 2009 and up addressed these problems and fixed them all. The 360 was smaller, quick, silent, and no longer had the red ring of death. I think that everyone should own a 2009+ Xbox 360, that games and online community is still active even after the new console. For example, I hoped onto Halo 3, and was still able to find online games to play with people. Halo 3 was a launch title, and people are still playing it today. This is true with many of the first person shooters, like call of duty, they games have a strong online presence. There hasn’t been a day were I regarded buying my Xbox 360, I use it for everything, from watching movies to checking Facebook. To this day I still use on my 360 to play games with friends. The new Xbox one does not have all the old games on it yet, I would still play games like Borderlands 2. Another reason why I would recommend getting an Xbox 360 is because they are cheap now, since the new generation has been released the old game systems have been dropping in price. I just check on GameStop.com and found an Xbox 360 and 10 games for less than $120. That brings me on to my next point, old 360 games as dirty cheap now. Online you can pick up about 20+ classic games for less than it costs to pick up one new game for the Xbox One. You can play all the classics for a fraction of the price. Generally I think that the Xbox 360 has been the best gaming console in the last 10 years, and you would be a fool not to own one.
Pokémon Games/ TV show: I know what you’re thinking, why is Pokémon on this list. Well let me explain, some of the best things about being older is remembering your childhood. What better sums up a childhood better than Pokémon? Nothing, for people who grow up in the 90’s watch Pokémon whether it was before school or after. It was on every main network, and it was one of the hottest trends in its time. All I ask is that you watch an episode or two, remember what it is was like to be a little kid. I haven’t watch Pokémon for over 10 years, but lasts summer my roommate and I decided to watch the first episode. I forgot how good the show was, sure it’s not as good as I remember as a kid, but now I actually understand the plot. I once read that, you should always re-watch a movie, the plot never changes, you just have a new point of view. That was one of the reasons why I started watching old movies and TV shows, and playing old games. I think that everyone should watch a TV show from when they were a kid. I also think everyone should play at least one Pokémon game. Playing a children’s game as an adult is surprisingly fun. I thought that Pokémon fire red would be a boring, game with basic controls and ugly graphics, but after playing for less than 10 minutes I was hooked. I played it all throughout finals week, it was a quick way to blow off stress and relax. I would strongly encourage, everyone to play a Pokémon game once in their life, and to also check out a TV show or movie from their childhood.

Netflix: I praise Netflix; I would recommend it to everyone. Netflix is the greatest thing since sliced bread. If you are a movie enthusiast or TV show fan, Netflix is the greatest thing in the world. Netflix has a whole bunch of movies and TV shows that are on demand; it is perfect for catching up on last season or just to start a new show. Before Netflix, watching movies and TV shows was a hassle, we would have to drive to a store and rent them there. Now all you have to do is click on whatever movie you want. After only using Netflix for a month I decided to cut my cable plan, I realized that I was watching junk on TV, and with Netflix I would watch something I enjoyed. I watched TV when there was nothing else to do, and every time I would turn it on, nothing good would be playing. With Netflix I am able to find something that I want to watch, not have to watch. Another great thing about Netflix is NO COMMERCIALS, after watching something on Netflix and then watching it cable version you notice all the commercials. The commercials are bad, and often ruin the mood of the movie or TV show, but on Netflix it is seamless. That is why I would recommend Netflix over Hulu, with Hulu you are paying for a service and still receiving advertisements. Netflix is the ultimate service, you pay a monthly fee and you are able to watch movies and TV shows online, without any ads, or a chance of getting a virus. You can also set up a mailing service, were for a little extra money a month you get movies and TV shows that are not available on Netflix will be mailed to your front door. I recommend Netflix to everyone, it is the best, easiest, simplest, safest, and fastest way to watch movies and TV shows.
